Baccanalia is a cultural producer creating festivals, public events and shared experiences across County Durham and the North East.
We design and deliver accessible public programmes that bring people together, animate civic spaces and support local economies. From street food markets and Pride celebrations to family festivals, heritage activity and seasonal events, our work is rooted in community participation, social connection and pride in place.
Alongside our own programme portfolio, we also support councils, organisations and partners to deliver ambitious public and cultural events through experienced production, management and operational delivery.
What drives us
Everything Baccanalia stands for can be traced back to three core values that keep our community, creativity, and ambition at the forefront.
Community first
Everything we do is designed to benefit the people of County Durham, ensuring social experiences are accessible, inclusive, and genuinely enriching for all.
Creative ambition
We push the boundaries of what's possible, curating bold, high-quality events that surprise, delight, and leave lasting impressions.
Collaboration
We believe the best experiences are built together, partnering with local organisations, businesses, and creatives to amplify our collective impact.
